Francophone Books is an encyclopedic reference and editorial platform dedicated to French-language literature from around the world. Our mission is to document, analyze and promote Francophone literature to English-speaking readers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Anglophone Africa and the rest of the world.
Our mission
We believe that Francophone literature — from the novels of Flaubert and Camus to the poetry of Aimé Césaire and the fiction of Mariama Bâ — belongs to world literature. We make it accessible to readers who do not read French by providing summaries, analyses, reading guides and curated lists of books available in English translation.
